As part of our work to reach out to the vulnerable and the needy in society, particularly children, POS Foundation has over the past years collaborated with other organizations as well as its partners in developed countries to donate valuable items to different communities across the country. The most recent being in July 2013 where POS received a container full of General Goods and Medical Equipment valued over $100,000 from partners in Canada for distribution.
This gesture came as a result of ties forged by the Executive Director of POS Foundation during his studies at the Coady Institute of St. Francis Xavier University in Canada. These donations were coordinated and led by Clarence DeYoung together with the Antigonish and Pomquet Community in Canada.
Presenting the items, the Executive Director of the POS Foundation, Jonathan Osei Owusu together with a delegation from the Canadian High Commission in Ghana led by the High Commissioner, H. E. Trudy Kernighan travelled all day through the communities in the Central Region of Ghana to give out Toys, learning materials, medical equipment’s and other valuable items to selected communities which were not limited to Assin Kushea, Assin Edubiase, Assin Fosu St. Francis Xavier Hospital, Kasoa Royal Seed orphanage home, Sally and JAPS Schools among others.
