Rural Health

The 2014 annual Beauty In Small Deeds (BISD) was dubbed Hope For Life; a six day medical short term medico-humanitarian missions (STMM), organized as a joint project by Doctors Act and POS Foundation at selected communities in the Assin North and South Municipal Areas [Assin Edubiase, Akropong Odumasi, Assin Nsuta, Assin Achiano, Basofi Ningo and surrounding communities].

This was as a result of a baseline study conducted by POS Foundation in 2007 in the Assin Districts. These missions brought together Russian-trained Ghanaian doctors, highly trained professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, lab technicians, engineers, social workers, and students (medical and non-medical) with an immense desire to share the love of God through health missions to the poor, underprivileged and deprived in society. This was internally funded by the above mentioned organizers with support from pharmaceutical companies in Ghana.
